Godaddy completed acquisition of rival domain sales platform last month. According to a regulatory filing, GoDaddy (NYSE: GDDY) paid $71.4 million to acquire Dan.com (formerly Undeveloped.com.
I have been using DAN since it was Undeveloped.com. It is great platform for all type of domain sellers specifically for Geo domains, like .pk, .sg, .co.sa extensions. My all .pk domains are also listed on dan.com.
In July 2022, we completed an acquisition for $71.4 million in cash.
In 2020, Dan.com raised a significant Series A round of funding.
The original announcement’s phrasing gave the impression that it was a single-digit million figure.
If there were other funding rounds, I’m not aware of any announcements made to the public about them.
GoDaddy picked acquired a business that was stealing many of its for-sale lander purchases when it bought Dan.com.
Domain investors fear that this could lead to future increases in commission fees.
